Rob’s main goal is to get you back moving! He believes taking time to listen to his clients, and explain his clinical reasoning are essential to everyone’s recovery. In addition, Rob’s approach to physiotherapy involves a combination of hands on manual therapy, functional dry needling (IMS), client education, and rehabilitative exercises. Rob understands not every person and injury are the same; through a one-on-one approach Rob will create an individualized plan to get you doing the things you enjoy.
Rob grew up in Victoria, attending the Lambrick Park High School Baseball Academy. Through sports and academics, he created a passion to pursue physiotherapy as a career. He is a UBC-Okanagan alumni, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Human Kinetics. After spending years in Kelowna, he knew it was the place he eventually wanted to plant some roots. Rob continued his education at UBC in Vancouver graduating with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 2016.
Rob has completed multiple manual therapy courses through the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and is certified in functional dry needling (IMS) through Kinetacore/EIM. Rob loves working with active individuals especially golfers and baseball players of any age and skill. He has completed golf specific training through the Titleist Performance Institute achieving medical level 2 certification. This means Rob has a deep knowledge of golf biomechanics, and golf related injuries allowing him to effectively work with golfers of all levels. He spent the summer of 2017 working with the Kelowna Falcons West Coast League baseball team as a trainer.
When Rob is not in the clinic, you can usually find him outdoors soaking up the Okanagan sun with his family, at a baseball game, or on a golf course.
